ABOUT DUCT CLEAN LONDON

Professional extraction cleaning with clear, practical communication

An owner-led London company supporting restaurants, coffee shops, facilities teams and property managers with carefully scoped kitchen extraction and ventilation cleaning.

A practical, owner-led London business

Duct Clean London Ltd was established in December 2024 after its owner had already spent three years working in duct and kitchen extraction cleaning, progressing from engineer to supervisor before starting the company. That practical route into business shapes how we communicate with clients today. We understand that restaurant managers, landlords and facilities teams need more than a polished sales promise. They need a clear scope, realistic access requirements, suitable working times and an honest record of what was completed. Our work focuses on commercial kitchen extraction, canopies, reusable grease filters, accessible ductwork, extraction fans and related ventilation-cleaning requirements across London.

What we believe good service should look like

Every extraction system is different. Duct routes can disappear above ceilings, rise externally, cross landlord-controlled spaces or terminate at roof level. For that reason, we ask for the postcode, photographs, opening hours and access information before confirming the work. Previous reports are useful because they can identify access panels and earlier limitations. Where the route is unclear, a site review may be required. We do not want a customer to expect a complete-system clean when an important riser or fan cannot be reached safely. Clear planning protects the client, the kitchen and the team carrying out the service.

Working carefully around active businesses

Commercial kitchens cannot normally stop operating for long periods, so many projects are arranged after closing, overnight or during another agreed quiet window. Before cleaning, cooking equipment must be switched off, cool and safely prepared. Roof access, plant-room keys, permits, alarm arrangements and loading restrictions should be organised in advance. Nearby equipment and surfaces are protected according to the agreed method. At the end of the visit, removed components are refitted where included, the working area is left orderly and the client receives the agreed report, certificate or invoice documentation.

TR19-aligned cleaning and honest reporting

TR19 Grease is recognised industry guidance for managing grease deposits in commercial kitchen extraction systems. We use TR19-aligned principles when they apply to the work, but we avoid vague promises. A cleaning record should identify the system and the components reached. Photographs should relate to clear locations, while inaccessible sections and other limitations should be written plainly. Cleaning evidence can support maintenance planning, but it does not replace the responsible person’s fire-risk assessment, insurer conditions, landlord obligations or statutory duties. If a system needs mechanical repair, electrical work or ventilation redesign, that is separate from cleaning and should be assessed by the correct specialist.

Services built around the actual system

Our services include canopy and plenum cleaning, reusable metal grease-filter cleaning, accessible kitchen extract duct cleaning, fan cleaning, TR19-aligned reporting and the installation of suitable access panels where separately agreed. We can also discuss grease-management units and other ventilation-cleaning enquiries. Disposable carbon filters are replaced rather than washed and reused. Laundry and residential enquiries are reviewed separately because those ventilation systems do not carry the same contaminants as a commercial grease extract. The correct scope depends on how the property and equipment are used.

Where we work

Our main coverage includes North West, West and Central London, with many enquiries within travel Zones 1–4 considered by postcode. Central locations often need early planning for parking, loading, restricted access and building-management rules. High-level fans or external risers may require a mobile tower, scaffold, MEWP or another safe-access arrangement. These requirements are discussed before the work so they can be included clearly rather than appearing as an unexpected issue on the night.

How to request a quotation

Send the full site address and postcode, contact details, business or property type, opening hours, preferred dates and clear photographs of the canopy, filter bank, visible ductwork and fan location. Tell us about roof access, ceiling voids, locked plant rooms and any deadlines connected with inspections or planned maintenance. If you have an earlier report, attach it. We will review the information and explain what can be priced, whether a visit is needed and what preparation the site should complete. Our aim is straightforward: professional cleaning, useful evidence and communication that matches the real condition and access of the system.
